SCHOOLTEACHER'S OFFENCES

How Eric Reginald Jackson, aged 24, school teacher, duped a man and a woman by false pretences, was revealed in the Police Court yesterday. Accused pleaded guilty to having obtained £8 from Harry Bradley in Taihape by falsely representing he was commencing practice as a solicitor in Taihape, and that his bank account had not been transferred from Christchurch. He admitted a further charge of having obtained board and lodging, to the extent of £5, from Olive. Day, in Wanganui, by representing he was* an inspector of schools.

Jackson was remanded to appear for sentence on Monday.
