RACECOURSE FATALITY.

INQUIRY BY COMMITTEE. NO BLAME TO ANY RIDER. The judicial committee of the Takapuna Jockey Club held an inquiry yesterday into the accident during the running of the Rakino Handicap on Monday, which resulted in the death of the jockey R. H. Reilly. All the riders, with the exception of the apprentice Brycc, rider of Look Out, together with Mr. J. N. Heslop, a steward of the club, Mr. S. E. Langstone, ambulance officer, and a press photographer, who happened to be near the scene of the accident, gave evidence. The judicial committee passed a unanimous opinion that the happening was entirely of an accidental nature, no blame being attachable to any rider in the race.
