SERVICES IN AUCKLAND. LARGE LOSSES INVOLVED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL REPORTER. | WELLINGTON. Monday The affairs of the Mount Eden MotorBus Company form the subject of a petition to Parliament presented by Mr. V*. H. Potter (Roskill). In asking foi relief, the petition states the company's creditors have lost £12,000 and the shareholders £6OOO Until August 14, 1927, the company operated between Auckland, Avondale, New Lynn and olher suburbs, but was compelled to relinquish its services because of the Motor Omnibus Traffic Act, 1926, Ihe company required the. Auckland fitv Council to take over its plant undei terms of the Act, arid the Compensation Court assessed the value at £16,427. The present. liabilities of the company arc set down at £28.000.
