NUMBER OF TRANSFERS. '' '■ '' • ■ ' ' .J'* ' 1 The transfers of several stock inspec tors are announced by the Department of Agriculture. Mr. D. Graham, who has retired on superannuation from the position of inspector in Wanganui, has been succeeded by Sir. H. Clel'and, inspector in Matamata For 21, years Mr. Graham was the principal inspector of stock in the Auckland Province, but during his 30 years' service lie has- been in Hastings, Napier and Invercargill. In recognition of their regard, .members of the staff will njake a presentation to him in Wellington on behalf of the branches in which he has sei ved. The vacancy m Matamata will be filled by Mr. J. L. Morris. Sir. J. W, Smith, oi' Te Kuiti, -lias been transferred to Ash burton, while Mr. A. E. Whvte, Mr. Smith's assistant, has been appointed as sist.ant-stock inspector in Hamilton, in succession to Mr. C. who will take up the position of inspector in To lvuiti. ' Further changes include (he removal of Mr. J. W Woodcock, of the fields instruction division in Auckland, to Taumaru nui. Mr. I. Wallace, who has been at Frpnkton Junction, will be transferred to Auckland for. meat inspection duties.
