In tie third round cl the Hauraki Plains Cricket Asaociation'B inter-club competition, Turua, 131 (Macklow 77), secured a twopoint victory over Pipiroa, 53 (O'Ncil 33). In the match between Kopuaram, which made 64, and Kaihere, 53, R. Connors (Kopuarahi), put up a bowling performance. He took the 10 Kerepeehi •wicketa at a cost of 5 runs. At Orongo, Ngs.tea scored ft three-point vln against Orongo. Young (Ngatea) secured 12 Orongo wickets for 15 runs. WALTERS CUP CONTEST. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] t , TE AROHA, Monday. The cricket competition for the Walters Cup was advanced on Saturday, when le Aroba A, 175 runs (Laver 61, Boyd 42) defeated Te Aroha B. 50 (Turner 18. Harrison 12, not out), by 125 runs on the first innings. Mcßeth, three wickets for 3 runs, and Harrison two for 4, -wore the bets; bowlers. THE WAIPA COMPETITIONS. [Br TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWAMUTU, Monday. The Waipa Cricket Association's competitions were advanced a further stage on Saturday. Paterangi defeated Karaiionui by 71 runs and Te Awamutu defeated Puahue by 131 runs. High School, which had been defeated by Puahue the previous week tor a remarkably low score, upset-all calculations by decisively out-playing Te Kawa.
