YOUTHFUL MIGRANTS.
TRAINING IN ENGLAND. A. and N.Z.-Sun. LONDON. Nov. 16. A member of the House of Commons said the training of youthful emigrants to the Dominions was costing the Ministry of Labour 53s per capita a week and the Salvation Army only 395. The Minister of Labour, Sir. Arthur Steel-Mait-land, replied that the respective costs quoted could nob be compared, as voluntary bodies obtained a grant under the provisions of the Empire Settlement Act.
