AUCKLAND GUN CLUB.
The members of the Auckland Gun Club held another successful series of matches at Panmure yesterday. The first match was divided by H. Clinch (28yds), B. Hanigan (25yds), D. Cairns (21yds), W. Fairley (21yds), and I. Lomas (21yds), with four birds out of five. Tho second match was divided by A. E. Macredie (2fiyds). B. Hannigan (25yds), C. H. Drysdale (21yds) and D. Cairns (21yds), with the possible of five. Tho first hand-trap clay-bird match . was won outright by H, Clinch (19yds), with the possible of seven, and the secojid match was divided by H. Clinch (20.vds), and F. E. McEcnzie (13yds). with the possiblo of seven - The consolation match for Mr C. H. Dtysdalo's tobacco pouch and matchbox was won by W. Fairley, after a tie with A. E. Murphy and D. Kellett. At the conclusion of shooting, Mr. 11. Clinch, who has held several New Zealand championships, gave a short lecture to the members on the art of clay-bird shooting.
