ILLNESS AFTER DANCE.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TE AWAMUTU. Friday. A young Ngaroma settler, Hubert T. Armstrong, aged 20, died early this morning while being conveyed by car to Te Awanmtu from Ngaroma back-blocks settlement, 32 miles from here. Armstrong attended a dance at Ngaroma on Wednesday evening and complaining of severe head pains stayed the night with friends. He was worse yesterday and had to be conveyed home. Last night he became delirious and his step-father, Mr George Nicholls, borrowed a car and arranged to bring the sufferer to Te Awamutu at daybreak today The party had covered only a tew miles \vhen Armstrong succumbed. It is believed that death was due to an abscess on the brain, but a post-mortem examination is necessary to ascertain the actual cause of death. * An inquest will be held on Saturday.
