Miss Levin and Miss Turton, of Wellington, sailed by the Marama yesterday for Sydney, en route to England.
Mrs. E. R. Lough, of Dunedin, who returned by the Port Hardy from a visit to England, is staying at the Grand Hotel. Dr. Buckley Turkington has left for Cambridge to be present at the fifth anniversary of the Girl Guides in that district.
Mrs. A. Mayne, of Parnell, and Mrs. Stanley Browne, of Dunedin, are visiting Takapuna, and arc staying at the Hotel Mon Desir.
Mrs. T. E. Wat.kins, of Mission Bay, Kohimarama, is visiting the North, and staying with Mrs. F. Costall and Mrs. C. .Tales, Oraru, Mangonui.
Miss Freda Rathbone has returned to 'Auckland vHritls her sister, Mrs. C. Freyburg, of Hawera, who is staying with her mother, ft[rs. W. Rathbone, St. Stephen'* Avenue, Parnell.
Mrs. Humphrey Haines returned by fho Remuera after three years spent in England and abroad. She is at present the guest of her sister-in-law, Mrs. R. E. Isaacs, Naumai, Bassett Road, Bemueraj >
Mrs. Grace Butler, whoso paintings of the Southern Alps are so well-known in New Zealand, intends to reach Auckland nest month and remain for a lengthy holiday. It is some years since Mrs. Butler spent some time here painting some; of the Auckland scenery.

The committee of the Te Awamutu Plnnket Society is arranging to hold a special afternoon gathering shortly, to entertain tjle 12 candidates in the recent rwal caniifal, at which nearly £6OO was raised, and all those who worked so heartily i'fco ensure success. This will be the comjTiittee's private and personal expression of thanks to the general public.
