ENTERTAINMENTS.

' ■ ■ • ■ EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. " Let It Rain," which opens at Everybody's Theatro to-morrow, presents Douglas Mac Lean, the Paramount star, as a. marine who awakes from his habitual lethargy only after meeting " the one girl." Then, seeing an officer gain her attention, he determines to win his chevrons. How he does this by capturing a troop of mail thieves and saving the Government's honour provides comedy of a high standard. Much of the humour arises out of the fact that the marine, Riley, is sentenced by his commander to shake hands with Kelly, a sailor, every time they meet*. Whil« this sounds like a mild punishment for some of the battles they have fought, it had its disadvantages. Both men are in love with the same girl. One day they go ashore, but Riley gets there first and takes her to an amusement park. He tells the lady of his love and they are about to go into a fond embrace when the Nemesis comes along and insists on shaking hands for 15 long minutes.
