DETECTIVE'S RETIREMENT
TRIBUTE FROM MAGISTRATE. f IIY TELEGRAPH.—-OWN CORRESPONDENT. | WHANGAREI. Tuesday Before commencing the day's business at the Whangarei Magistrate's Court yesterday, Mr. F. H. L'evien, S.M., said that would he the last occasion on which Detective T. De Norville would appear in Court before retiring on superannua tion. In bidding Mr. De Norville fare well, the magistrate said he would like to express his appreciation of the man noi in which his duties had been carried out. and wished him happiness in his retirement- 1 Mr W A. Can-nth. senior member of the Bar, also testified to the sterling qualities of the retiring detective, who had carried out an onerous task with skill and fairness. On behalf of his fellow-members of the profession, he wished Detective De Norville long life hnd happiness
