NEW WAIOEKA BRIDGE.
WORK ALMOST FINISHED.

A final visit of inspection to the new Waioeka Bridge was paid to-day by Mr G. S. Dyson, public works district engineer, accompanied by Mr. W. W Upton, Opotiki County Council engineer The work is practically finished and both engineers have expressed entire satis faction with it. The approach on the southern side is to be improved by tak ing off a corner, which will reduce the danger of collisions to a minimum It is not expected that the official opening of the bridge will take place until after the Parliamentary session ends.
