SELECTION OF BALMACEWAN.

At a special meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council to-day it was decided that the New Zealand championships in 1828 will be played on the Balmacewan Links, Dunedin, provided thst certain alterations to holes 17 and 18, as agreed upon by the Otago Golf Club and the council, are effected. The opening date of the tournament will be about October 10.
