OLD MAN'S DEATH.

A VERDICT OF SUICIDE. Suicide while of unsound mind was the verdict returned by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., coroner, at the inquest yesterday concerning the death of John Alexander, aged 78, late of Cracroft Street, Avondale, who died on Wednesday afternoon as the result of cutting the arteries in his arm with a knife. The cause of death was shock and loss of blood.
