KNIFE WOUND IN ARM.

DEATH OF ELDERLY MAN. As the result of a knife wound in the arm, Mr. John Alexander, aged 78, of Cracroft Street, Avondale, died last evening at the Auckland Hospital. Mr. Alexander was found in a workshop under the house, with a wound in the bend of the elbow inflicted by a pocket knife. He had lost a considerable quantity of blood when discovered. The injured man was treated by Dr. Graham D. Lindsay and token to the hospital by the St. John ambulance, Ad inquest will be held to-day.
