MOTOR-CAR TAKEN.
A FORMER TAXI-DRIVER; TERM OF IMPRISONMENT. - Arrested on Monday afternoon after failing to appear on bail in the morning, Raymond Strong pleaded guilty in the Police Court yesterday to charges of converting to his own use a motor-car valued at £llsO, the property of B. \V. Beaumont, and of being drunk in Little Queen Street, where he was arrested. Constable Moore said early on Sunday morning he found accused with three other men in Halsey Street. They were all more or less drunk. He inquired about the missing motor-car and Strong admitted taking it. . Accused had previously been a taxi-driver.
Tho magistrate, Mr. F» K. Hunt, sentenced accused to three "toonths* imprisonment on the charge of converting the motorcar. On the charge of drunkenness he was convicted and discharged.
