MARKSMEN AT SYDNEY, NEW. ZEALANDER DOES WELL. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, Oct. 31. At the National Rifle Association's meeting at the Liverpool range the New Zealahder, W. Green, of Hastings, made an excellent start in a series of matches. He is jointly leading with, Victorians in the Longfield aggregate, which is the second most important event at the meeting. "

The scores in the Paine aggregate, wanprising the scores in the Piazza, Le Maitre and Dangar matches, are:—Grant, Victoria, 1; Geen, New Zealand, 2; Davies, Victoria, 3. All scored 142, Green has won £4. RESULTS OF MATCHES. GREEN'S FINE SHOOTING. (Received October 11, 11.15 p.m.) A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Oct. 11. The weather conditions remained perfect to-day, for the Rifle Association's meeting. It is practically certain that the New Zealander, Green, finished second in the Longfield match to F. Agate, of Sydney, although "the official results will not be known until to-morrow. Green's score was 279. Other New Zealand scorers were: | Masefield, 268; Carter, 266: E. A. Ballinger, 266. The following New Zealanders won £1 each in the Paine aggregate match: Vennell, Turnbull, Masefield, W. H. Ballinger. In the Motion match, 400 yards, C. Williamson, Sydney, and T. Rayner, Hellensbnrgh, tied and divided the first and second prizes. Tho New Zealanderiß who won £1 each were: Garter, Robertson, IJowell, Goodall, Higgs, E. A. Ballinger. The Jamieson match, 700 yards, was won by Richards, Queensland. The following New Zealanders won £1 each - : Gooeall, W. H. Ballinger, Green, Masefield, E. A* Ballinger. The Johnnie Walker Match, 900 yds., was won by S. Leech (Victoria). New Zealanders who won £1 each were Carter, Marey, Goodall, Green, Boon, Masefield, Powell and Caughey,
