SIR STEPHEN MORELL.
LORD MAYOR OF MELBOURNE.
A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE. Oct. 11. Sir Stephen Morell has been re-elected Lord Mayor of Melbourne for a second term. Sir Stephen Morell entered the Melbourne City Council in 1901 as representative lor the Gipps Ward, which he has since then represented. He was elected an alderman in 1925, and was elected Lord Mayor last year, in succession to Sir William Brunton. He is well known io Melbourne business circles as a director of several large companies and he has pastoral interests in Queensland. He has taken much interest in rowing, Tmd was a member of various champion crews in 1896 and 1897. He was educated at Scotch College.
