PRESERVATIVES BANNED.
A circular has been issued to Australian dairymen by the Australian Dairy Council, pointing out the danger of using preservatives in cream, and asking them to discontinue the practice. Any factories which intend to export butter should exercise great care in the use of preservative in future. It should not be forgotten that butter made next month may be ehipped to England, and although 1 it would not be refused admittance, British merchants would not care to purchase butter which would have to be consumed before the end of the year, as the risk of holding it until the new regulation# , eame too tore® would be SOO great*
