PICTURE THEATRE FIRE

FILM BURSTS INTO FLAMES. LARGE AMOUNT DESTROYED. OPERATOR SUSTAINS BURNS. Four thousand feet of film were destroyed by firo during the session at the Royal Theatre, Kingsland, last evening, when the film which was being shown burst into flaincs. The operator, Mr. A. Trail, was slightly burnt about the arms in removing the film from tho projector. The Mount Albert Fire Brigade arrived in time to prevent further damage, the operating-box and apparatus being unharmed. There was little excitement among the audience, which left tho theatre quietly before the brigade arrived. The operator's burns were treated at the shop of a neighbouring chemist.
