MOUNT ALBERTS ENGINEER.
Sir, —The proceedings of the Mount Albert Borough Council last night must have caused many people to believe that justice and fairpiay were unknown to all except the two honest men who voiced their protest against the dismissal of their engineer. To condemn a man unheard is most un-British, and must reflect upon themselves. I know nothing of the pros and cons of the case, but T believe that any man. especially a professional s:an, whose brains are his "stock-in-trade," should know the charges against him, and have the opportunity to defeqd himself. I voice my protest agVnst this high-handed "justice," and join heattily in the proposition to link up with the city. I trust the Ratepayers" Association will take this matter up seriously I would also suggest that no self-respecting engineer should apply for the position until this "wrong had been made right." A. Osborne KNIOKT.
