AN OLD BIBLE.

Sir.—A paragraph appeared in the columns of your paper of September 13, m reference to a family Bible oi the date of 1719 in the possession of Mrs. Margaret Patrick, o? Avonside, Chris:.church. It may be of interest to some of your readers to know that I have in my possession what is known is a Breeches Bible of the date of 1610. It has been continually in the family all that time and has been handed down from generation to generation, and is still in a splendid state- of preservation. The outside of the Bible has never been rebound, but a number of inside leaves, owing to the Bible's great age, have had to receive the attention of a bookbinder. Robt. B. Sands.
