CHARGES OF DRUNKENNESS.
"Accused is an incorrigible drunkard." said Sergeant Caiwell, when Peter O'Mai ley. aged 44, pleaded guilty in the Police Court yesterday to charges of being drunk in Victoria Street and breaking a prohibition order. A fine of £5 was imposed on each charge. A charge of drunkenness and two charges of breaking a prohibition order were admitted by Ernest Edward Cox, aged 44. He was fined £2 on the first charge and £1 on each of the other charges. Pvnson Longdtil, aged 37, who appeared for sentence on a charge of booknsairing, wss farther remanded until September 22. A charge of attempted carnal knowledge of a girl under the age c-f 10 years was preferred against John Charles Kemp thorn#, age<J 27. On the application of Mr Sullivan for accused, a remand was granted trait! September 22, bail being fixed at £2OO.
