COMMUNISM DECLINING.

GROUND LOST EVERYWHERE. PAPER SUMMARISES POSITION. (Received September 12, 5.5 p.m.) Sun LONDON. Sept. 11. The Daily Mail, in a leading article, says the -world is becoming tired of anarchists and Communists, who are a nuisance to civilisation. In recent years thev have everywhere lost ground, and even their credulous dupes are bewildered and their disciples have lost patience. The Mail adduces, in support of its contention, various recent occurrences, including the decision of the Trades Union ■Conference to break away from Russia; the rupture by Britain of diplomatic relations with the Soviet; the refusal by America to recognise the Soviet Government; and the consideration by the French Cabinet of the question of demanding the recall of the Soviet Ambassador, Rakowsky. The paper further refers to the defeat of Communism by 'Signor Mussolini in Italy, and the revulsion in China against the Reds. It also quotes the victory achieved by the Premier of Queensland, Mr. W. McCormack, in the recent railway strike, which, it says, was due to the support given to him by the public.
