OBITUARY.
MR. WILLIAM , MORGAN. [BT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Friday. The death occurred at the Whangarei Hospital to-day of Mr. William Morgan, at the age of 78 years. Mr. Morgan had resided in the Dominion for- over 50 years and practically the whole of that time had been spent in the North. He was formerly well-known in Whangarei, but for the past 10 or 12 years had been employed by Mr. Owens ai Poroti. Mr. Morgan had no relatives in the Dominion. MR. ROBERT McMURRAY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.} PALMERSTON NORTH. Friday. The death has occurred at Palmerston North of Mr. Robert McMurray, a resident of the Dominion for over 60 years. Born at Warrea Point, North. Ireland, 85 years ago, Mr. McMurray went to Australia when a young man'of 20, to join his brother, the late Mr. Joe McMurrav, afterwards of Nelson. After working on the goldfields there for two or three years the brothers came to New Zealand, "landing at Dunedin, and proceeding to Gabriel's Gully. Later Mr. R. McMurrav removed to Thames and then to Nelson, where he married, 56 years ago. He then resided for varying periods on ihe West Coast, at Brightwater, Nelson, Awahuri, and Wanganuij living at the latter place until 1914, when he came to Palmerston North, in which town he had since resided. Mr. McMurray was well known locally as a bowler, and won mamtrophies.
