LUCKY SHOT GOLD MINE.
MORE PICKED STONE SECURED. Further developments at the Lucky Shot gold mine are reported in the following telegram received from Thames -'yesterday;—" Broke down small portion of hangingwall of reef; secured 151b. picked stone; gold left showing. Dropper now full width of drive; footwall portion also shows colours and dabs of gold." OCCIDENTAL UNA GOLD MINE. The following telegram was received yesterday from the Thames manager of the Occidental Una United (Joldmining Company:—"Secured 201b. specimens, No. 1 reef, 3ft. wide, gold showing freely." THE WAIHI COMPANY. [BiT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WAIHI, Friday. The following information has been cabled to the London, office of the Waihi Goldmiuing Company: — For the period ended August 27, 19,704 tons of ere were crushed, for a result pf' 6547 fine ounces of gold and 26,357 fine ounces of silver. These figures include 2623 tons of ore mined from tho Grand Junction area, which yielded 736 fine ounces of gold and 2101 fine ounces of silver.
No. 12 Level, Empire Lode.—Driving west the next 31ft. assays 83s per ton. The reef is about sft. wide. No. 15 Level, Edward Lode.—-Driving south the ne?;t 31ft. assays 2s 3d per ton. No. 2 Diamond Drill Hole.—The total depth now is 1002 ft. Commencing at 966 ft.. the next Bft. is anclesitic breccia, and the last 28ft andesitic country rock. Owing to the absence of any favourable indications this hole has been stopped.
