Mrs.' A Sec.com be has returned from a visit to Wellington. > Mrs. Athol Mills has taken np her residence in Vincent Road, Remuera. Mr«, J. Russell has faken up her residence at The Chalet,, Victoria Avenue, Rennjera. Mrs, H. D. Crawford arrived from I Wellington yesterday and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. John Rennie and Miss Aileen Rennie have returned to Christchurefi from a holiday visit to Auckland. Miss Jessie Harris, of Auckland, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Harris, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch.. * Lady Sinclair Lockhart, Mr. Bruce Lockhart and Miss Doreen BullockWpbster are leaving for Rotorua tomorrow. Mr. and Mrs. Graham Knox, who have been staying with Mrs. .John Reid, sailed by the Aorangi on their return to Lau? toka, Fiji. Miss Joan Smales, of the Waikato Hospital staff, who has been on extended holiday leave, is staying with Mrs. Gordon, Mangere. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Caldwell returned to Glen Murray yesterday and Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Caldwell are returning to Cambridge to-day. Mrs. David Nathan, of Auckland, has been visiting Wellington in connection with the fair for the Palestine Plunket fund, of which she is organiser, Miss A. M. Copping, of Auckland, left Wellington by the Tamaroa for England. Miss Copping won a Sara Ann Rhodes scholarship and is going to take up her studies in London. Mrs. A. Newman, of Auckland, has heen visiting Cornwall and Devonshire, and will shortly leave for the Continent. In October she will start on her homeward journey, via Canada. At St. Paul's, Knightsbridge, the marriage took place, on July 21, of Mr. Donald McLaren, son of Mr. and Mrs. John McLaren, of Princes Gate, with Doreen Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Morley, of 17, Sloane Court, and grand-daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs, J, B. ffevwood, formerly well-known residents of Wellington. The ceremony was performed by the Rev, G.-Keane. Mrs W. 8, Bean has booked her return passage to New Zealand by the Moo]tan. leaving on September 23, The marriage of Miss Louisa Bean, to Mr. E. G. L, Whitoa way will take place on Sep|pr>il.«r 3, -it St. James'. Piccadilly. Mrs. and Miss Bean were among those present at the Empire Parliamentary Association's reception, in Westminster Hall, to the Duke and Duchess of York. 3nd thev were among those presented to Their Royal Highnesses Thev also received a command to the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
