BOWLING.
ROCKY NOOK CLUB. The bowling tourney of the Rocks - Nook Club, for which 12 teams had entered, had to be postponed yesterday on account of tha weather. It is hoped to carry out the fixture on Wednesday next. It is requested that if any of the rink skips who have entered teams are unable to compete they should notify the green management. THE WAIPU CLUB. - [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WAIPU, Wednesday. The annua! meeting of the Waipn Bowling Club was well attended. The report and balance-sheet showed _ a marked improvement in the club's financial position, and was considered by members to be very encouraging. The following officers were elected: President. Mr. A. Sentcb.; vice-presidents, Messrs. D. R. McKay, M. McLean, and H. McAulay; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. E. Snaith; auditor, Mr. C. N. McLean; ground superintendent, Mr. N'. McMillan; committee, Messrs. D. J. McLeod, D. H." McKenzie, W. Gritnn, R. R. McKay, J. C. McKay, Can'.ey McLean, C. Langhorne, N. E. McLean and W. Moreland. It was decided to apply for permission to hold a progressive pairs tournament on Box-ins Day The\ following trophies were presented by Mr. D. R. McKay, the former president:—Champion singles, A. Sentch; champion pairs, C. N. McLean and A. •G. Shirley.
