CROPS AND CATTLE SUFFER.

GREAT UNEMPLOYMENT CAUSED. A. and N.Z.-Sun. PARIS, Aug. 15. A violent storm swept the Saone-et-Loire district. Damage estimated at from 10,000,000 to 15,000,000 francs was done. Crops were destroyed, cattle %vere killed, trees in the woods were uprooted and roads were blocked. Thousands of people have been rendered idle owing to the damage to textile factories.
