BRITAIN MORE SOBER.
OFFICIAL REPORT ISSUED. DECLINE IN CONVICTIONS. ("Received August 12, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON, Aug. 11. An official report shows that there were 7951, equivalent to 10 per cent., fewer convictions for drunkenness in Britain in 1926, compared with 1925. The report says that viewing the question over a long period, the country is growing more sober.
