UNLOADING OF STEAMER.
THEATRICAL GEAR HELD UP.

The Wellington Waterside Workers Union, through its president, denies that the theatrical properties vthich were left on board the steamer Manuka on Wednesday wore held up through the refusal of the men to work. He says that this luggage was so stowed in the hold that under no circumstances could it have been reached before 10 p.m., but, owing to the perishable goods being on the top, 4 ® employers ordered the men to cease wor for fear of damage to the goods by rain.
