DANIEL AND THE LIONS.

Among Admiral Mark Kerr's amusing stories is the following: "A Scotsman, a famous character in the Navy of days gone by, was taking some examinations. One of the questions was to describe different electric batteries, and among them one was named the Daniel cell.
