THE RUAHINE. The Nfiw ; Zealand Shipping Company's bner Ruahine is to sail on Thursday for Wellington to complete unloading cargo from London. TAHITI LEAVES SAN FRANCISCO. The Royal Mail liner Tahiti was despatched from San Francisco last Wednesday with passengers, mail and cargo for New Zealand and Australia. She is due at Wellington on August 29. H.M.S. DUNEDIN. H.M.S. Dunedin will ieare Auckland on August 22 for the Hauraki Gulf, where the crew will undergo ten days' gunnery exercises. The warship will return to port on heptember 2. THE ULIMAROA. The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa was despatched for Sydney at mid-day yesterday with passengers, mails and cargo !• rorn Sydney sho will go to Wellington. TOFUA SAILS TO-DAY. Now loading at Queen's Wharf the Union Company's Island steamer Tofua is to sail for tin, Tonga and Samoa at eleven o'clock this morning, with passengers, mails and cargo. PLACUNA AT WELLINGTON. The Placuna arrived at Wellington from Balak Papan, Borneo, on Thursday morning with 6000 tons of bulk oil for the British Imperial Oil Company. . MARAMA FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company's intercolonial steamer Marama left. Sydney yesterday afternoon with passengers, mail and cargo for Auckland. She is due early on Tuesday and will berth at Queen's Wharf. MATATUA LOADING. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matatua arrived from Napier yesterday morning and berthed at Central Wharf to complete loading refrigerated and general cargo for Antwerp and London, to the agency of L. D. Nathan and Company, Limited. She is to be despatched for Antwerp oil Tuesday. MAKURA FOR SAN FRANCISCO. The Royal Mail liner Makura is due at Wellington from Sydney early on Monday morning to load cargo and mail and embark "passengers from New Zealand. At three o'clock on Tuesday afternoon she is scheduled to resume her voyage to Rarotonga, Papeete and San Francisco. : , CANADIAN PROSPECTOR REPORTED. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Prospector, from Montreal, , reported last:evening that she would arrive on Tuesday afternoon. The vessel has general merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. Cargo for Auckland will be unloaded at Prince's Wharf.
CITY OF CARLISLE ARRIVED. The A. and A. Line's chartered steamer City of Carlisle arrived last evening from New York. The vessel will berth this morning at Queen s Wharf to unload case oil and general merchandise for Auckland to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. Her other discharging ports are Wellington, . Lyttsilton, Dunedin, Hobart and Launceston. THE CAMBRIDGE. The Federal Lir.e steamer Cambridge is to leave Lyttelton on Monday for New Plymouth, Wellington, Xapier ; Crisburne. Toko maru Bay and Auckland to continue loading for New York, Boston, London, AVorimouth, Glasgow and Liverpool. She is to be des patched from Auckland for New York on September 5. The New Zealand Shipping Company are the local agents. THE PORT ALBANY Although not reported by wireless the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Albany is scheduled to reach Auckland from New Ycrk to-morrow. She has been allotted a berth at King's Wharf. The vessel has case oil and general merchandise tor discharge at Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney. Heather, Roberton, Ltd., are the local agents. X SCHOUWEN AT COLON. Reported to have reached Colon last Wednesday the Dutch steamer Schouwen is en route from Montreal, Sydney (Cape Breton) and Corner-brook with cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about September 7. The Xew Zealand Shipping Company are the local .agents. PORT CAROLINE. The steamer Port Caroline, from London, has sent a wireless message to the effect that she will arrive at Lyttelton at 8 a.m. to-day. a day ahead of her expected arrival, according to a Press Association message ;rom Christchurch.
GUANO FROM JUAN DE NOVO. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Company have received advice that the \Vatts steamer Epsom, 4576 tons, has been chartered to load a lull cargo 01 guano at Juan de' Novo Island for three of the following ports: Bluff Dunedin, Lyttelton and Auckland. The island of Juan de Novo is situated in the Mozambique Channel, between Madagascar and the Portuguese colony of Mozambique, an eastern State of South Africa. R.M.M.S. AORANGI DUE TO-MORROW. The Royal Mail liner Aoran'gi will arrive at one o'clock to-morrow afternoon from Vancouver, via Honolulu, and Suva, according to her wireless report. She will berth at Queen's Wharf to land passengers, mail and cargo for New Zealand. The .vessel will also load mail and embark passengers for Australia and she is to resume her voyage to Sydney at three o'clock on Monday afternoon. KAIWARRA AND K AIT AN GAT A. The Kaiwarra came out of dock yesterday morning and berthed at King s \Vharf to continue her overhaul. She is to sail tor Newcastle on Tuesday to load for LyttelL °The Ka-itangata, which is undergoing overhaul, went into dock yesterday morning for cleaning and painting. She is to sail for Onerahi, Sydney and INewcastle on Monday in place of the Kaiwarra. PASSENGERS FROM MELBOURNE.
