MONEY-LENDER MURDERED.
SYDNEY CITY TRAGEDY. SIGNS OF FIERCE STRUGGLE. VICTIM ON FLOOR OF OFFICE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received August 11, 10.35 p.m.) A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, Aug. 11. A murder was committed in the heart of Sydney to-day. The dead body of a money-lender named Daniel Condon, who had conducted an extensive business, was found on tho floor of his office in a building in the city early in the afternoon. Deceased's head had been dreadfully injured with some blunt instrument. There was evidence that a fierce struggle had taken place. A man who is supposed to have been the murderer was seen to leave tho building shortly after tho crime must have been committed.
