. A conference which is without precedent in the railway service will bo held to-morrow at Birmingham. The officials of both the Great Western Railway and the London, Midland and Scottish Railway will meet representatives of the local council of the National Unions of Railwaymen to consider the question of co-operation between the managements and the workers to promote €he efficiency and the success of railways, and, to' consider ways of meeting the competi-. tion of road transport.
