CONTEST FOR EDWIN STARS.
CARLTON BEATS ROCKY NOOK.
Carlton succeeded in resisting a further challenge for the Edwin Stars when it defeated Rocky Nook at the Carlton green on Saturday. The game was interesting up to tho seventh head, when Carlton forged ahead, and play was abandoned on the 16tb head, when Carlton had a 12-point lead. The result was:—W. Bates, G. Deare. J. S.
