STANDS AT CLAUDELANDS. PILFERING AND TRESPASSING. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Friday. Strong comment on the amount of pilfering and trespassing which went oh at the Waikato Trotting Club's stands at Claudelands was made by the club's architect, Mr. J. E. Chitty, in a report to the executive last evening. "I have never seen more seriousdamage done to, any buildings, or more material disappear from any works under my charge, than "at Claudelands," stated the report. There was hardly a whole sheet of glass left in the stands. . It was strongly recommended that the police be asked to watch the stands at night, in view of the damage done and the danger from . fire.
