CATHOLICS IN MEXICO. RELIGIOUS REVOLT SEQUEL. (Received July IS, 5.5' p.m.) A. and N.Z.-Sun. MEXICO CITY, July lfi. The President, General Calles, has ordered the release of 28 Roman Catholic laymen, who were charged with sedition. The President says the attempted religious revolt was a failure, and is no longer a menace.
