REPORTS OF MANAGERS.
New Waiotahi. —The drive hillward for the Waiotahi-Cambria rcof has been advanced 10ft. and one sot of timber placed in position. The country in the face ia of a more blocky nature, and promises to make harder ground. Golden Age.—We have commenced to crosscut into the footwall where we saw strong gold in the small leader. iuis country is very hard, and progress is somewhat slow. A distance of 3ft. has been driven for the week. It ib a conglomeration of flinties and stringer of quartz. We saw some strong colours of gold in one of the leaders passing through. Lucky Shot.—The drive on main reef going north-east has been advanced sft. for the week, making a total of 77ft. driven in this direction. The reef is 6ft. wide and shows gold when broken down. We started a rise 41ft. back from this face. It is up a distance of 9ft. The reef is sft. wide and shows strong gold, some of which could be classed as picked Btond. No 2 reef, two sets of timber have been placed in position for the week. No quartz has been broken from No. 2 or No. 3 reefs since my last report. It is our intention to break out a trial crushing from the three reefs and put them through the school of Mines.
