The second day of the Taumarunui Winter Show was held yesterday, and.was attended by large crowds both in the afternoon and evening. The entries were exceptionally large, and the quality was commenced on favourably by the judges, one of whom, Mr. R. Boddy, said the root exhibits were n credit to the district, and held their own with exhibits shown at the best shows in the Dominion. The dairy, horticulture and poultry sections also earned praise. FIXTURE AT TE KUITI. VERY SUCCESSFUL EVENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE KUITI, Sunday. The King Country Winter Show, held at Te Kniti on Thursday and Friday, was a decided success. There was a comprehensive selection of exhibits in all sections, and a good public attendance throughout. The root crops exhibit was worthy of special note, and the home industries and schoolchildren's sections were well supported. Mr. A. Blackman, Deputy-Mayor of Ie Kuiti, in officially opening the show, said some excellent results had been obtained, which were very heartening. .
