COUNTRY TOURNAMENT. THE ADVANTAGE RULE. A correspondent, " Fair-play," writes: " Regarding the play at the country hockey tournament, I should like to know whether the advantage rule has been left to the discretion of the referee, as I noticed sonic referees enforced the rule. This I queried, when in one of the matches I witnessed two goals were netted after the whistle sounded, because a breach had been made by the defending team on the edge of the circle. The referee decided to give a free nit to the invading team, therefore penalising the wrong team. To me that seemed an unfair decision." MATCHES IN THE SOUTH.
