LAWN TENNIS.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association was held last evening. The president, Mr. K. W. Griffiths. presided over a fair attendance of delegates. fcli moving the adoption ol the report and balance-sheet the president said that, without taking into account the proceeds from the art union funds, a slight, loss had heen made during the past year. This, he hoped, would be more tnan compensated for during the coming season by the affiliation of new clubs. In view of the strong financial position of the association, it was decided to raise the secretary's honorarium to .£'7s and to call for applications for the position. It was decided to defer the appointment of committees until the next meeting, on account of a notice of motion providing for the appointment of a management committee. The following officers were elected.—Patron. His F.xcellencv the Governor-General. president. Mr. F,. Hickson; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. Ooldie. F.. W. Griffiths. H. G. Thomson. G. L. Taylor, C. C. Chalmers and F. J. Ohlson. The appointment of an auditor was deferred.
