Sir, —In discussing the purchase, of motors for t.he Kaukapakapa district, it is unfortunate that the chairman of the Waitemata Power Board did not amplify his remarks as to the possibility of farmers objecting to pay £2 more for British motors than foreign, by pointing out that while Britain purchases 85 per cent, of the New Zealand farmers' produce, the foreigner in question buys none.
