WHANGAREI. Tuesday

Tho Whangarei Hospital Board is divided on the question of the suitability of its X-ray plant. Mr. J. A. S. McKay moved at yesterday's meeting that the board proceed with the installation of a new plant as recommended by the superintendent, Dr. Hall. Mr. McKay said the board could utilise as a loan some loan money from another source. The seconder, Mr. Elliott, regretted that the necessity for a new plant was not made known to the board before the estimates were framed. An amendment was moved by Mr. Mc Lean that the matter be deferred untu the superintendent had returned from his trip. The board finally adopted the amendment.
