NEW ZEALAND PRODUCTS.
EXHIBITION IN TOWN HALL The exhibition arranged bv the New Zealand-made Preference League, under the title of " New Zealand at Work," will open in the Town Hall to-day. The league, is conducting a Dominion-wide campaign for encouraging the sale of local products, and it seeks the support of every Aucklander who wishes to see flourishing secondary industries, absence of unem ployment and general prosperity. 1 The past, present and future indus- ! tries of the Dominion will be illustrated in the display. Mannequins will parade on a platform down the middle of the hall, wearing gowns and dresses of fabrics made in New Zealand. Dancing will be featured by a special ballet of twelve and a large party of Maoris will perform hakas and poi dances in a spectacular prologue. Badges for associate membership in the league will be sold, the purchaser pledging himself to buy at least one locally-made article during the week and agreeing to support New Zealand pro duction wherever possible. A great deal of public interest has al ready been aroused by the shop-window displays in Queen Street, which will be continued throughout the week. Some shops are depicting their wares in the actual process of manufacture; others have the goods laid out in a manner that cannot fail to attract the average shopper. The exhibition will be open every day and evening until Monday.
