AN ANIMAL'S PARTY.
A charming and amusing sight is to be witnessed at London's Zoo fvery afternoon The four baby chimpanzees— Jackie, Jimmie, Clarence, and Bibi—have been given a small table and four tiny armchairs, and have been taught to eat like young children, instead of eating off the floor like the other inmates. Every afternoon at three o'clock, four enamel mugs and four plates of food are placed on the table, and the little chimpanzees have a party, behaving with the most exemplary manners. They first drink their milk, after which Jackie, tno eldest, offers food to each in turn. The whole affair is run without aid or interference except that occasionally it is necessary for the keeper to remind Jackie to hand the plate around again. When the food has been eaten another cup of milk is drunk. Then Jackie goes to Bibi, the youngest of the four, and helps her out of her chair. When the ceremony is over the chimpanzees shake hands with each other and prepare for bed.
