FOURTH OFFENDER FINED. MAXIMUM PENALTY IMPOSED. "It is going on all round m$ and I have to look after myself," said Arthur Bray when charged with Sunday trading in tho Police Court yesterday. Sub-Inspector Lewin said defendant had three previous convictions for the same offence. The magistrate, Mr. McKean, imposed the maximum penalty of £5. "I was only obliging a customer," said Samuel H. Palk when charged with a similar offence. The Magistrate: I am afraid you will have to pay for your good nature. A fine of £2 was imposed. Frederick Norton was also fined £2 for a similar offence. For failing to close a grocer's shop on Easter Saturday Thomas G. Rumble was fined £l.
