Friday A cadet who has been employed in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court for the last three years, Emil Marion Lewis Gormley, aged 20, pleaded guilty in the Court to-day when charged with the theft of three sums totalling £9 6s, the property of the Government, between November, 1826 and May, 1927. A statement was read in which accused admitted the thefts. When £7 and £1 6s were missed, the staS subscribed to • make good the amount. It was not i known then that the money was stolen. Mr. Strang, who appeared for accused, 6&id Gormley left home the age of \ 16, and after a short period in the Wellington court was transferred to Hamilton.
