FARM WAGES.
Sir ; —In your issue of 4th inst. appear* a most instructive letter from Mr. J. g, Montgomerie, containing the followingt ''The suggestion that wages should j*} based on what a man produced is merely absurd." Will Mr. Montgomerie enlighten us as to the proper sourie or fund out of which wages should bo paid ? As he sneers at Professor Murphy as a "pseudo economist," doubtless he himself is a true economist and I await his dictum with interest. E- IiARLE Yaile.
