ACTION FOR DIVORCE.

CORROBORATION NECESSARY. [EX TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Thursday. Corroboration was wanting in an application made by Joseph Gilbert Muir, farmer, Morrinsville (Mr. A. F. Meldrum), in the Hamilton Supreme Court to-day for the dissolution of his marriage with Margaret Wood Muir on the grounds of desertion. Petitioner said he was a widower with four children when he married respondent in 1919. There was one child of the marriage. He and his wife did not quarrel, but she cSmplained that the care of the children was too much for her. She left him in December, 1923, and he had not seen her since. Mr. Justice Herdman said that before he could grant the petition he wanted corroboration of petitioner's statement that he had not lived with his wife for three years. The case was adjourned until tomorrow.
